The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has secured almost $8 million in additional funding to strengthen its ability to combat problem gambling.
The fiscal year 2025 budget approved by the Michigan Legislature gives $7.9 million in additional funding to the MGCB, with most of the increase going towards programs to prevent gambling addiction
The MGCB will direct $3 million of this amount to the state's Compulsive Gambling Addiction Fund and associated programs, including the 24/7 Disorder Helpline.
