Germany’s regulated gambling market saw gross gaming revenue (GGR) increase by 2 per cent to €13.7 billion in 2023, with the online sector contributing €3.0 billion.
Casino games generated nearly half of the annual total with GGR of €6.5 billion, of which €4.8 billion was derived from gaming machines in arcades and restaurants, according to results published by German gambling regulator Gemeinsamen Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL).
