Italy’s gambling market earned the state €2.57 billion in taxes and fees during the first quarter of 2024, a fall of 4.43 per cent year-on-year.
Lotteries were the largest contributor and accounted for 42.6 per cent of tax revenue in the first quarter, followed by gaming machines at 39.5 per cent and betting at 7.8 per cent, with other games accounting for 10.1 per cent.
