The parliament of Lithuania has voted in favour of an amendment to raise the tax on retail and online betting and gaming.
Lawmakers approved the tax increase on Tuesday (18 June), with the amended bill subject to a final vote in parliament before its entry into force on 1 January 2025.
The increased tax rate is expected to bring in an additional €4.4 million to the state budget annually.
