SkyCity Entertainment Group has reached an agreement with the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) to pay a penalty of NZ$4.16 million (€2.34 million) for anti-money laundering (AML) and countering financing of terrorism (CFT) breaches.
The settlement is subject to approval from the High Court in New Zealand, with the operator seeking a hearing “at the earliest opportunity”.
