Golden Matrix secures Peru online sports betting and iGaming licence

Golden Matrix Group's Meridian Gaming subsidiary has been granted licence approval to offer sports betting and online gaming in Peru.

The licence approval from Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism comes three months after Golden Matrix completed its acquisition of Malta-based online betting and gaming operator MeridianBet.

Peru's online gambling legislation came into force in February, offering licenses for online sports betting and casino gaming and prohibiting unlicensed operators.

Shares in Golden Matrix Group (NASDAQ:GMGI) closed 0.80 per cent lower at $2.47 per share in New York Friday.
