Comtrade Gaming secures Romanian licence for CG Games division

Comtrade Gaming's CG Games division has secured licence approval to launch its games in Romania.

The approval from the gambling regulator, Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), allows CG Games to roll out it portfolio of online casino titles with licensed operators in the jurisdiction, adding to Comtrade's existing platform business in Romania.

"This is a key step for CG Games,” said Comtrade Gaming chief commercial officer Steven Valentine. “We have been very successful in the Romanian market for many years, with our iGaming platform, and this extension of our license means we can increase our offering to our partners.

"It also now allows us to work with all operators in that market, regardless of the platform they use, and we are very excited to bring our games to this market.”

The CG Games division was established in February as a new product vertical for Comtrade Gaming, which has been building the technical mechanics of slot games for other vendors for a number of years.

The supplier's iCore iGaming platform is currently live in the market with Superbet and Stanleybet Romania.
