The Australian state of Tasmania has launched a public consultation into proposed regulations to prohibit anonymous play on electronic gaming machines (EGMs).
The Government of Tasmania first announced its intention to end anonymous play and introduce mandatory player cards for EGMs in 2022, with the consultation paper released this week setting out the rules that will apply under the new regulatory regime.
