The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has ruled that sports streaming service Kayo breached advertising rules by running gambling ads outside of permitted times.
The ACMA investigated the company's Hubbl subsidiary following viewers' complaints about several streams on Kayo.
According to Australian law, gambling ads are not to be shown by online content providers during live sporting events between 5am and 8:30pm, including in the five minutes before and after the event.
