BetMakers appoints new chief financial officer

17th June 2024 9:40 am GMT

BetMakers Technology Group has named Carl Henschke as its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective 1 July 2024.

Henschke replaces Anthony Pullin, who resigned from his role on 27 March after spending more than half a decade with the Sydney-listed sports betting and technology provider.

Henschke has spent 17 years in financial services, capital markets and legal industries, beginning his career as a corporate solicitor at the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

His most recent role was as managing director at Canaccord Genuity, where he focused on digital and software businesses, including those in the betting sector.

“We are delighted to welcome Carl as the company’s new CFO,” said BetMakers chief executive Jake Henson. “His extensive financial expertise and deep understanding of high growth technology companies make him an ideal fit for BetMakers.

“Carl’s experience will be important as we continue to refine our operational efficiencies, expand our global presence and enhance shareholder value.”

Shares in BetMakers Technology Group Ltd (ASX:BET) gained 9.30 per cent to close at AUD$0.094 per share in Sydney Monday.
