19th August 2024 11:05 am GMT

Rivalry has announced that Demi Abidogun-Benson is taking on the role of interim chief financial officer (CFO), ahead of the publication of the company's second quarter results.

She takes over from long-term CFO Kejda Qorri, who is leaving the operator after seven years to focus on personal matters.

Abidogun-Benson has been with Rivalry since February 2022 with responsibility for corporate reporting, planning and analysis.

Rivalry CEO and co-founder Steven Salz said of Qorri's departure: “Kejda has been an integral member of our team since day one, leading the charge on our financial management strategy, public listing, and many other key initiatives across the Company.”

“We deeply respect her decision to transition out of her role in order to spend time with family, and on behalf of the entire team, we wish Kejda all the best in her future endeavors.

“I’m also very excited to have Demi, a long-standing and key member of our finance team, step in as Interim CFO where I’m confident she will succeed.”

The company plans to release financial results for the second quarter of 2024 on August 29.

Shares in Rivalry Corp. (TSXV:RVLY) gained 29.17 per cent to close at CA$0.31 per share in Toronto Friday.
