Swedish lottery operator Folkspel has been issued a warning and a SEK500,000 penalty fee by gambling regulator Spelinspektionen for having insufficient age check measures during its Bingolotto TV broadcast.
The regulator reviewed how the licensed lottery operator complied with the requirements for gambling responsibility regarding age limits, after receiving several tips from the public that a player under 18 years of age had participated in a TV broadcast of Folkspel’s Bingolotto game last December.
