Canada’s BCLC unveils new PROLINE retail sportsbook

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has launched a new retail sportsbook offering across the Canadian province, ahead of the NFL season kick-off tomorrow.

The new PROLINE digital retail sportsbook has been rolled out across all BC lottery terminals, ending the use of paper betting slips in British Columbia.

PROLINE offers most of the popular sports betting options previously available on BCLC’s Sports Action platform, which was shut down at the end of May, with single-event betting and dynamic odds offered for the first time at retail locations.

“This is an exciting evolution for BCLC and for sports bettors across the province,” said BCLC chief operating officer Dan Beebe. “PROLINE offers an updated and innovative sports betting experience and is the pivotal next step for BCLC in offering exciting new sports products to our valued players.”

Players can download the new BCLC PROLINE app on their phone, create their digital bet slips in the app and receive an app-generated QR code, which they can bring to any lottery retail location to scan and receive a printed ticket.

BCLC is also planning to introduce new sports betting experiences in the coming months, which will include enhanced betting experiences at BC bars and pubs, as well as new offerings at BC casinos across the province.

BCLC is the official sports betting partner of the Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, BC Lions and the 11th Grey Cup, which takes place at Vancouver’s BC Place on 17 November.

The new NFL season kicks off tomorrow (5 September) with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Baltimore Ravens.
